Our Purpose

Welcome to the Spark NFT Project. We have created the first 5 collections of NFTs that cares about the environment, our purpose is the reforestation of 5 endangered tree species in Brazil.

To start the project of the first NFTS that cares about the future, we adopted the Jacarandá-da-Bahia tree for the first Collection.

For more than 300 years, Jacarandá has been widely exploited, predatorily, and without any concern for its preservation.

When you buy an NFT of Jacarandá Tree, you are not simply buying an NFT or a probably rare piece of art. You are saving the environment.

The goal of this first phase of the project is to grow 150,000 Jacarandá-da-Bahia seedlings. Of these, we will distribute 140,000 seedlings to counties and NGOs registered on our site, encouraging reforestation. And, 10,000 seedlings will be planted in our reserve in the countryside of Minas Gerais, where it will be an annex of a Hotel Farm.

1 - Land Acquisition

Where we already plant our trees, and we'll plant the ones from the sales and royalties.

2 - Soil Regularization and cure of its deficiencies

From 6 to 1 year

Here we carry out natural fertilization and measure the pH of the soil.

3 - Nursery Structure

During regularization of the soil, the nursery structure starts to receive the seeds for germination.

4 - Germination Process

From 3 to 6 months

5 - Identification Process

We start the process of identifying the percentage of germination of the seeds, and we analyzed the seedlings that survived.

6 - Nursery Organization

The nursery is organized only with the seedlings that have matured, which are, on average, 20 thousand seedlings of 40 thousand planted.

7 - Controlled Environment

For 6 months

After they're ready for germination, they remain under the shade in a controlled environment being irrigated, fertilized and pruned.

8 - Creating resistance

In this process, the seedlings goes into the sun and we gradually decrease the irrigation, so the seedlings create resistance until they get used to the climatic conditions of the planting site. So far, from germination, to planting in the nursery and adaptation, the process lasts 1 year and a half, and only after that the seedling will be taken to the field and planted.

9 - Green manure and planting

30 days before planting

The team goes to the place where the seedling will be planted, and deposits the green manure (without artificial inputs), to prepare the soil to receive the seedling. After that, the land is ready to receive the seedling after 1 year and a half (since germination) for planting.

10 - Combat against pests

For at least 2 and a half years

After planting, an extensive combat against ants (predators) begins, in parallel, the cleaning status of the area is monitored so that weeds don't suffocate the seedling.
